Intro to Engineering introduces children to the field of engineering through 21 hands-on experiments and building projects divided into five sections. By participating in these activities, children will discover how engineers use their scientific and technical knowledge to design machines and devices.

The journey begins with basic engineering concepts, where kids will conduct experiments involving levers, forces, and pulleys, and build simple devices using these foundational components.

Next, they will explore engineering on land by constructing wheel-based vehicles, such as a race car and a wind-up car. The adventure continues as they investigate engineering related to air—both in the sky and on the ground—by creating a helicopter, a parachute, a glider, and an air-powered carousel. 

Children will also experiment with engineering in water by building a diving bell, a sailboat, and a paddle boat. Finally, they will find engineering in their own homes through projects that model a telephone and a television, and they will even create a fun robot model.
